Neverland

What seems isolation
Is really a chase of our shadow
Never to be caught by hand
Its only fear being Neverland

Neverland isn’t a place for wishing to be perfected
But lives by loving what also is not.
Making the thoughtless shadow look for fear of flaw
Only to be tied down by the power of God.

Neverland finds joy in a journey
And in finding beauty in the pain
Looking to be perfected isn’t fear
But finds perfect is in the mirror

Neverland isn’t a dream from reality
But reality being the dream
It’s not letting what you don’t know
Stop you from enjoying what you do know

Neverland is not made to undo,
What should already be behind you.
But change only what we see,
Not what is already set to be.

Differences and imperfection
Don’t always change our direction,
Loving what is, not would be
Isn’t that true beauty?

Will social structure light our fire?
Or individuality learn to aspire?
Will we let our shadow wander?
Or let our lives grow fonder?

The great people we study
Start out as nobody
With a dream of making reality.
And a reality of making a dream.

Neverland comes from the unusual.
Letting yourself be tried
Search the dark for the stars
Creating beauty from the scars

Neverland’s beauty isn’t a list
But by letting the dream exist.
The outlook comes when we choose.
To tie our shadows, not let them loose.

When all goes right must we decide?
Or all goes wrong, find joy in the ride?
That’s where Neverland gets its nature
That’s where Neverland gets its creator

Our true potential begins
When we find the thread within
Create faith for happiness to try
Pull down the shadow and tie

When we destroy people’s expectation
Defeat the selfishness inside
Forget the indignities behind why
Then our imagination will start to fly

And here we go!
Second star to the right
Straight not till morning

Neverland.
