Wrinkles and Scars, or smooth and shine.
A battle we fight, with age and time.
A wrinkle speaks words that mouths cannot say
A scar is a story of learning, in a whole different way.
I hope to wrinkle, and show the world each scar
For beauty is the stories that got you that far
The people, who see flaws, aren’t the perfect and clean.
But broken and scared, for anything real to be seen.
The ones who see beauty in every flaw and climb.
Are the people who watched it change you time after time.
Christ our example who suffered pain for the mistakes of us
all,
Chose when beautified and perfected to keep the scars from the
fall.
So the next moment you see a blemish, of any sort or kind.
Look beyond the moment and remember to rewind.
For theirs stories and experience in every wrinkle or scar
Is of time, beauty and love in how they kept climbing thus
far.
The true surrender isn’t the beauty we see
But finding (s)he who see’s beauty with sight of eternity
